Gender transgender: Beyond terror.

I recently met a trans * boy in a meeting with other friends, at first sight I could not deduce that he was a transgender person, until one of the present made an explicit comment that cleared my doubts, giving rise to so many others. I had seen trans women only a few feet away, but never shaken the hand of anyone with this condition. I must confess that the subject still causes me some confusion, not because I feel in transit to the opposite sex, but to the necessary understanding in order to be able to accept without judgment the will of these people.

The first concern that came to me was how to greet him, I did not know if my handshake was very strong, or if I kissed him on the cheek, I really do not have these considerations with my friends, with whom regardless of their sexual orientation we always give a strong hug and sometimes of emotion a couple peaks in the cheek, the forehead or even the hand. It seems to me that there are too many questions when dealing with a transgender, if for some reason what may be said to be offensive, or if it is not considered enough, now that any word can be a double-edged sword, preventions of a mentality scarcely formed to accept that certain people need to transgress the biological path in order to become the person they want to be.

Being trans in our century is the topic that everyone should worry about, because it highlights the "transit" that every person goes through to be what is projected to be, the way it identifies itself in the dimension that feels comfortable; and although it seems that we're saying the same thing in different ways, the good use of the words comes to importance when referring to the reality that overflows the binary thought. I find it hard to imagine the stages of this process, the personal challenge of designing their physical and what it feels like no matter how difficult it may be the chosen path. I do not think it should be discussed by third parties to decide on their lives or influence their decisions, but to open the debate of what they need in order to be recognized as a single citizens, whatever it takes to understand their daily lives.

Whether or not this was a dysphoria called by psychiatrists in the 1970s, among other retrograde concepts now popularized by Russian President Vladimir Putin, we must realize that the basis of a balanced personality is in the way everyone makes use of the body, being all the result that satisfies it, understood in turn the body like scene on which each human being has all the power and can be altered at will. Continuing with this logic Can piercings or expansions in one ear be similar to a breast augmentation? and this same being within the possible transformations including altering the body from exercises and bodybuilding? And the same transformation to the opposite sex would also fit into that logic, right? It gives to think that no matter what we conceive from the prefabricated concepts of heterosexual fiction full of unfounded fears that are available in a culture of rejection and torture, the ultimate exercise is about acceptance and solidarity, nobody is asking to change the world as we know, just make it possible for everyone.

Gender is very important to enter into dialogue in the construction of each and the taking of positions of certain spheres of life, who have been fortunate to feel free and satisfied with the biology that recognizes us as a person of one or the other We must dilute this Christianizing attitude of homogenizing with the socially acceptable, of limiting to established rules that are not subject to revision, rules that do not include the wide range of heterosexualities that are also possible between transgender people (men and women), but mold and dictates behavior according to robotic models of genital identity. It is time to begin to respect the body of the other as territory whose sole jurisdiction is their individuality, and over the dignity of no one can be doubled, not by any moral or fascist criteria of beauty that imposes a mandatory social canon of behavior.

To religious arguments I can only answer with logic, if your God is "all love" and we are children in his image and likeness, if that abstract Being has endowed your intellect with decision, does it mean that it also has the possibility to change sex or to alter bodily? Does it mean that He can fall in love with whoever wants or feels love for all his fellow men alike? Do we really want to be alike? A religious who drags the Devil in each sentence is not able to feel love for his neighbor as Jesus says in the Bible, these false prophets follow some lessons and others overlook them ... are rooted in rejection in writing to justify their vanity, that which annuls these warlike postulates by more loving ones just apply them with their "equals" ...

At the end of the day we are the decisions that mold our actions, satisfy our need to be accepted in the multiplicity of feelings that is humanity as a whole. Let each person explore his humanity to the level he/she wants, then History will tell us if we were right. Time will tell ...

*** Additional note: In a future text I will be speaking out about the crude Trans reality, police persecution and injustices caused by social phobia that makes them victims of all kinds of abuse. *** You can find the original version in Spanish at [[[ https://jovenmundologo.wordpress.com/2017/08/30/el-genero-del-terror-transgenero-mas-alla-de-la-ficcion/ ]]]
